Important NoticeImportant information regarding changes to QLD State Government Waterwise Rebate ServicesQueensland Government rebates are changingIt was announced that $4million in extra funding would be given to Home WaterWise Service and the Home WaterWise rebate scheme. Allowing an additional 18,000 homes in South East Queensland to be fitted with water saving devices. From the 1st of February 2008 the Queensland State Government rebate for water tanks was increased from $1,000 to $1,500 for 3,000 litre tanks which are plumbed into at least one internal connection (eg. washing machine or toilet.) Time is running out to claim the Brisbane City Council rebateUntil the 30th of June 2008 Brisbane residents are entitled to claim up to $2,400 in rebates upon purchase of a 3,000 litre watertank between the State Government and Brisbane City Council rebates. Pensioners are eligible for a further $100 rebate when they purchase before the 30th of June 2008. Are you Eligible?To ensure watertank rebate eligibility, your rainwater tank must meet all relevant Australian Standards and Local Council requirements. If you connect your rainwater tank for indoor use, the connections must be installed by a licensed plumber in accordance with relevant state and Local Council regulations.
